**JOB SUMMARY**:
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (2012 and newer).
- Design and manage backup and recovery strategies (backups, restores, disaster recovery).
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and server configuration.
- Develop stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers in T-SQL.
- Manage database security (roles, permissions, authentication).
- Automate administrative tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or equivalent.
- Monitor system health and performance using native or third-party tools.
- Assist in database migrations and version upgrades.
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve DB-related issues.
***Required Skills & Certifications**:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Experience with high availability configurations (AlwaysOn, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping).
- Strong understanding of indexing, statistics, and execution plans.
- Solid experience in backup and restore strategies.
- Skilled in performance monitoring and optimization.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure SQL,



AWS RDS for SQL Server).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Redgate, SolarWinds, SQL Sentry, etc.
- Experience with SSIS/SSRS/SSAS is a plus.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server, Azure Database Administrator Associate).
