**Job description**:
**Job Title: ROS2 Developer (Python / C#)**
**Overview**
You will work across the full robotics stack—from low-level hardware interfaces to high-level autonomy and user interfaces.
Working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
**Key Responsibilities**
**ROS2 Development**
- Design and implement **ROS2 nodes**, topics, services, and actions
- Build modular, scalable packages using **rclcpp (C++) and rclpy (Python)**:
- Optimize inter-process communication (DDS) for performance and reliability
- Manage launch files, parameter systems, and lifecycle nodes
**Robotics & Autonomy**
- Integrate sensors (LiDAR, IMU, GNSS/RTK, cameras, wheel encoders)
- Develop perception pipelines for obstacle detection and navigation
- Implement and tune localization (e.g., EKF, sensor fusion)
- Work with navigation stacks (Nav2 or custom planners)
- Support teleoperation and autonomous mission execution
**Software Development**
- Develop backend services and tools using **Python**:
- Implement logging, telemetry, and diagnostics pipelines
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
**System Integration**
- Interface with hardware controllers (e.g., Pixhawk, motor controllers, CAN, serial)
- Integrate edge compute platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, x86 systems)
- Work with networking (LTE/5G routers, VPN, remote telemetry)
- Support deployment in field environments (construction sites, outdoor conditions)
**Testing & Deployment**
- Develop simulation environments (Gazebo / Ignition)
- Perform field testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Create CI/CD pipelines for robotics software
- Support OTA updates and remote diagnostics
**Required Qualifications**
- 6 months - 2 years of professional software development experience
- Hands-on experience with **ROS2** in production or advanced projects
- Strong proficiency in:
- **Python** (robotics logic, scripting, data pipelines)
- **C# /.NET** (tools, UI, backend services)
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and robotics development environments
- Understanding of robotics fundamentals:
- Kinematics and control systems
- Sensor integration and data fusion
- Real-time or near real-time systems
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with **autonomous vehicles or mobile robotics (UGV/UAV)**:
- Familiarity with:
- **Nav2**, SLAM (RTAB-Map, Cartographer), or custom navigation
- **OpenCV** or AI-based perception pipelines
- DDS middleware tuning (Fast DDS, Cyclone DDS)
- Experience integrating:
- LiDAR (Velodyne, Ouster, Livox, etc.)
- RTK GPS systems (u-blox ZED-F9P or similar)
- Experience with:
- **NVIDIA Jetson** platforms
- CAN bus, UART, I2C, SPI
- Cloud/edge integration (Azure, AWS IoT, or similar)
**Nice to Have**
- Experience with **ArduPilot / PX4 / Pixhawk integration**:
- Familiarity with **multi-robot systems or fleet management**:
- Experience building operator dashboards or monitoring tools
- Exposure to **video streaming (RTSP/WebRTC)** or surveillance systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity for connected devices
**Work Environment**
- Combination of **office development and field testing**:
- Work on real-world deployments (construction sites, outdoor robotics)
- Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, networking, and operations teams
**Success in This Role Looks Like**
- Delivering stable ROS2-based modules that run reliably in the field
- Successfully integrating multiple sensors into a cohesive system
- Improving autonomy performance (navigation, obstacle avoidance)
- Building tools that improve operator visibility and control
- Reducing downtime through better diagnostics and system design.
Pay: $15,000.00 - $19,000.00 per month
**Language**:
- English (required)
