Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.
This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Supply Chain Program LeadPosition OverviewThe Supply Chain Program Lead is responsible for developing a roadmap that supports the integration of the assigned program to the existing supply chain business operations.
The role will coordinate with different functions to ensure execution of the action plan as part of program roadmap: General supply management, engineering, supply chain management, product planning, product line management, external manufacturing.The manager will work closely with internal customers, internal suppliers and internal teams to optimize operations, mitigate program risks and meet the program objectives.




This role oversees the full lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.Key ResponsibilitiesRoutes program related needs to the right organizational functionsEstablish the necessary metrics to measure performance in alignment with program goalsDemand modeling.
Develop demand product deployment plans as the program progresses along the roadmap and milestonesCollaborates with program team to identify and mitigate material requirements risks and ensures supplier readiness to meet demandEstablish the material replenishment strategies for the products and components in scopeCarries out effective implementation of planning strategies to optimize inventory and service levelsProposes changes to organization structures, skillset and competencies profiles in alignment with program needsCollaborates with plant management to understands the staffing plans are in place to meet demand needsCapacity modeling.
Develop initial SIOP, S&OE; capacity planning models anticipating planning systems updatesDrives consistency and sharing of best practices related to supply planningRepresent all Supply Chain functions within program team structure to drive alignment between supply chain capabilities and business objectivesProvides periodic program updates relevant for supply chain activitiesJob RequirementsBA/BS degree+5 years of supply chain related experienceProven track record in supply chain management areas such as, supply/capacity planning, supply chain optimization, project managementExperience in collaboration with multiple functions such as product line management, global supply management,



engineeringFully bilingual (English and Spanish)Understanding of ERP and offline planning systems is preferredExcellent presentation and communication skills at different levels of the organizationDemonstrated experience in driving supply chain improvements and achieving operational targets, with the ability to manage both strategic and tactical aspects of planningProficiency in Microsoft OfficeA job that shapes a life.Corning offers you the total package.
