A Day in Your Life at MKS:This position will be reporting to the Sr Purchasing SupervisorPrincipal Responsibilities:Plan, schedule and monitor material movement through the production cycleEvaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortagesMonitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing modelsDevelop new supply sources where required to keep operations stocked and able to generate the desired outputActively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stockRequired Skills:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceCPIM and/or APICS certification preferred2+ years of related experiencePhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of timeMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandMust be able to exchange accurate informationThe ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environmentConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryNoise level in the work environment is usually average
