**- Purpose**
Develop, design, and implement business solutions that transform data into actionable insights.
The specialist ensures data accuracy, creates dashboards, generate reports, and provide analytics support to organizational objectives.
This role supports ensuring that business strategies, plans and initiative comply with international regulations, policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
- Execute and support the Business Intelligence and Data Front -End Services projects, ensuring they are delivery on time within the scope and budget.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of BI solutions.
- Use tools such as SQL, Python or ETL platforms to extract data from various internal and external sources and produce automated reports and dashboards.
- Execute data validation and cleansing processes to enforce data quality standard ensuring data integrity and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
- Perform database queries, data transfer extracts, and custom reports as requested.
Prepare incoming data for higher-level analysis develop queries, processes, and reports for presentation.
- Recommend improvements to existing data systems and reporting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Use statistical tools to conduct complex analyses for deeper insights and by identifying patterns, correlations, and actionable results.
- Present complex data f indings in a clear and compelling way to non-technical stakeholders by creating interactive reports that allow users to explore data on their own.




- Build interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI among others to visualize data and provide insights, create periodic and ad-hoc reports to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Works with key stakeholders to identify reporting needs, defines the reporting requirements, designs the report, and writes the code required to deliver the report.
- Maintains documentation and updates reports as data system enhancements are put into place and/or business rules evolve.
- Provide regular updates on analytics projects to stakeholders, highlighting both achievements and challenges.
- Train and support users in accessing and utilizing BI tools and reports.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in Business Intelligence & Data Front -End Services practices and business processes by implementing advanced analytics techniques to drive ongoing enhancements, staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the General Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and ef fectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

**Dimensions**
- Professional with extensive experience in data analysis and processing, consistently ensuring the highest standards of data quality and accuracy.
**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- Information Technology Professional in Computer Engineering and / or Information Systems,
- Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in positions related to operations, data analytics and processes of
Information Technology in complex business environments and high volume of users.
- 3+ years of experience in analyzing, def ining and modeling processes; documentation of
procedures, KPI management and data analytics.
- 3+ years of experience in construction and implementation of Key Performance, data analysis
and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience implementing data analysis techniques, methods, and tools to tailor the
analysis of performance process approach and deliver a higher-quality results.
- Knowledge of Excel and familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, SAS)
- Experience and solid knowledge in programming and tools: SQL (Microsoft Certified), Python, C#,
Qlik, Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Self -motivated and with a positive attitude.
Adaptable and f lexible to change in a large
organization.
- Desired certified in IT Service Management, IT Governance, ITIL, SCRUM and/or Six Sigma.
