**Job Summary**
**Own functional and automation testing for core banking implementations.
Build reliable automation test suites in Java using Selenium or Playwright for banking**
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6-8 years in QA/SDET with at least 3+ years in automation on large, integrated systems; prior core banking implementation experience is mandatory.
- Tech Skills:
○ Strong Java programming; Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright(Java or TypeScript).
○ API automation (REST Assured/Playwright API/Karate), JSON/XML,Postman/Swagger/OpenAPI.
○ Test frameworks: JUnit/TestNG; BDD (Cucumber) optional.
○ CI/CD: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps; Git; Maven/Gradle;Docker/Selenium Grid.
○ SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL) for data validation; basic Unix commandsand log analysis.
- Fair knowledge on Domain: Retail banking processes (CIF/KYC, deposits,lending, payments, teller), GL/accounting, EOD/BOD and batch operations,data migration basics.
- Soft Skills: Clear written/spoken communication-English & Spanish,Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Design
○ Derive test scenarios from BRD/FRD/user stories; create RTMs andrisk-based coverage.




○ Design UI/API automated tests using Java with Selenium WebDriver orPlaywright (Java/TypeScript).
- Automation Engineering
○ Implement Page Object/Screenplay patterns, utilities, and parallel execution; maintain stable, reusable frameworks.
○ Build API tests (REST Assured/Playwright API/Karate), schema validations, and basic contract tests.
- Data & Environments
○ Define test data (masked/synthetic), seed data sets, and golden paths;execute SQL checks and reconciliations.
○ Use service virtualization (WireMock/MockServer) to stabilize test runs;manage environment readiness.
- Execution & Quality Governance
○ Run SIT/UAT regressions, drive defect triage to closure, and produce audit-ready evidence.
○ Integrate automation with CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps); publish dashboards and trend metrics.
- Non-Functional Collaboration○ Partner with performance/security teams (JMeter/Gatling basics, OWASP checks) to gate releases.
- Ways of Working
○ Contribute to Agile ceremonies, perform peer reviews, mentor junior testers, and continuously improve coverage and stability.
