**A Snapshot of Your Day**
Basic research is a key driver for innovation within Grid Technologies.
We drive own innovation campaigns, collaborate with in
- and external partners & directly support product development with deep & profound technological expertise.
As part of basic research, you will independently carry out analytical and numerical analysis, develop calculation methods and rules that are used for specific transformer designs.
**How You'll Make an Impact**:
- Basic research and development of solutions for technical and scientific problems within the area of Grid Technologies
- Evaluating basic technologies forming the basis of upcoming grid technology products and solutions
- Cooperation and collaboration within a global R&D; and factory network
- Support in R&D; projects specifically taking care for regional demands, standards and regulations
- Support regional factory sites and engineering with your basic research expertise
**What You Bring**
- Successfully completed degree in Electrical engineering, physics or comparable courses of study
- Experience in FEM methods
- Ideally, previous work experience in transformers and grid technology in general
- Must be fluent in English, flexible, self-motivated and focused on delivering results
- Analytical skills and a systematic way of working to solve complex tasks
- Analytical,



structured and goal-oriented way of working and willingness to travel (-15%)
**About the Team**
In our team, we drive R&D; activities like feasibility studies and development projects but also support local factories with our deep knowledge.
Specifically, we want to foster our footprint in Americas focusing on regional demands, needs and regulations.
Initially you will deal with transformer specific topics, an enhancement towards whole GT and other product portfolio elements is possible
