**Function Background/Context**
Citigroup Internal Audit (IA) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards of Directors of Citigroup and Citibank, the Audit Committees, senior management and regulators regarding the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and controls that mitigate current and evolving risks and enhance the control culture within Citigroup and Citibank.
IA's Chief Operating Office (COO) plays a pivotal role in fostering a safer, simpler and stronger organization.
It enables the Internal Audit function to operate efficiently and effectively, adhering to all relevant standards and commitments, while promoting and maintaining a robust control environment.
The IA COO Data Office has responsibility for end-to-end oversight of IA's data lifecycle - creation, processing, appropriate usage, control, quality and disposal - in support of key IA deliverables.
**Job Description Summary**
Reporting to IA's Data Lead, the Data Quality Sr.
Group Manager works across Internal Audit and in coordination with Citi's Enterprise Data Office (EDO) to drive implementation of IA's data quality strategy and ecosystem (tools / processes), ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data across IA, and supports Citi's data transformation as a top strategic priority.




This role works closely with Data Quality leaders across the enterprise to set standards and provide guidance and support to implement consistent Data Quality metrics and reporting targets of data quality issues and risks.
Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
This highly visible role is also responsible for IA's compliance with firmwide data-related and other relevant policies and standards; guiding implementation and execution of controls across data quality, data privacy (including cross border data clearance), records management and End User Computing; establishment, adoption and monitoring of IA's data risk appetite; and effective data risk identification, management, and reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive IA's data quality strategy, including necessary tools and processes to identify, log and resolve issues promptly before/following their impact); and preventative data quality
- Coordinate, manage and drive data quality related projects including identifying business requirements, establishing priorities, tracking projects to completion and evaluating results
- Monitor and report on IA data quality (e.g., define/gather metrics, develop dashboards, deploy tools) as per the standards defined by EDO and in line with IA's requirements
- Oversee the Data Concern Remediation Management process within IA, maintaining a repository of issues for monitoring and tracking data quality issues
- Responsible for the design and maintenance of IA's data records management program




- Responsible for IA's privacy program in support of enterprise-wide compliance with all applicable data privacy policies, laws and regulations
- Responsible for maintaining the service agreement framework through which IA's target operating model is implemented
- Adopt necessary, EDO-defined data frameworks; implement requirements of relevant policies, standards and procedures across data practices within IA
- Develop, refine and implement metrics to measure effectiveness and drive adoption of IA's Data Risk framework
- Drive adoption of data controls that will be applied to mitigate identified risks across the data lifecycle
**Qualifications**
- 15+ years of overall business management experience in a complex, financial organization, with a focus on data risk, including 8+ years managerial experience.
- Advanced domain knowledge of Data Governance methodologies, with a focus on Data Quality is preferred.
Practical experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Quality processes is highly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Effective negotiation skills, with a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.
- Well-developed listening skills, and a strong ability to engage a group of accomplished leaders across Citigroup who are partners to Internal Audit with respect to its data transformation.
- An articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style to drive consensus and influence relationships at all levels.
- Strong coordination and project management skills, with ability to act independently and concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
