The Project Manager is responsible for the effective management, implementation, and execution of projects through active engagement that ensures the timely delivery of high-quality products and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have proven project management experience and a strong understanding of the publishing and editorial services industry.
Attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential for success in this role. We are seeking a committed, proactive, and empowered Project Manager who can identify obstacles, take ownership, and develop practical solutions to ensure project success.
Minimum RequirementsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Literature, Education, Graphic Design (with a focus on book publishing), Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in project management.
- Experience in editorial and content production processes.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of editorial design principles.
- Knowledge of typography and editorial style standards.
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, project management software, and Google Workspace.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience managing editorial or publishing projects.
- Experience within the editorial services industry.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational and self-management skills.
- High tolerance for pressure and changing priorities.
- Negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Execute assigned projects on schedule, within scope, and according to established quality standards while simultaneously participating in client meetings.
- Actively manage project planning and execution activities, including:
- Developing project plans, schedules, resource allocation, team assignments, and deliverables.
- Receiving and distributing project materials internally and externally.
- Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation plans.
- Collaborating closely with team members, clients, and Operations leadership.
- Preparing workflows and project-specific instructions and facilitating team training as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation and status information.
- Leading project meetings, providing status updates, and preparing meeting minutes in English.
- Tracking project-related counts, metrics, and deliverables to ensure alignment with purchase orders and allocated resources.
- Assigning editorial review tasks and distributing editorial guidelines to team members, ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are consistently met.
