About the role
We're a logistics company running our operation in the AWS cloud. We're looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer to own and evolve that environment — keeping it secure, reliable, and cost-efficient — and to grow with us into building AI-driven business solutions for the logistics space.
This is a hands-on role on a small, high-trust IT team. You'll have real ownership from day one, direct impact on the business, and room to shape and develop skills to allow us adopt AI across our operations.
What you'll do
- Own our AWS cloud infrastructure end to end: compute (EC2/ECS), networking (VPC), IAM, storage, and container registry (ECR).
- Manage and improve our CI/CD and deployment pipelines (containerized builds and deployments).
- Keep the environment secure, backed up, monitored, and cost-optimized; own incident response for infrastructure issues.
- Support and maintain our database backend (SQL Server) and the internal tooling that runs on top of it.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code, access control, and environment governance as the team grows.
- Partner with the rest of IT and operations to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
- Over time, contribute to building AI-powered tools that improve how we run our brokerage — automation, agents, and internal applications.
What you need (required)
- Several years of hands-on experience managing production infrastructure in AWS.
- Strong working knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, VPC/networking, IAM, and container services (ECS/ECR or equivalent).
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Comfort with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Scripting ability (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and operational tooling.
- Solid grasp of cloud security fundamentals, backups, and cost management.
- Working experience with relational databases (SQL Server a plus).
- Professional English proficiency — the team works closely with the U.S. market.
- (Applicants must reside in Guadalajara).
Nice to have (preferred)
- Genuine interest in developing business solutions with AI — LLM APIs, agents, or automation — and a desire to grow into that work.
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect / SysOps).
- Experience with Node.js or backend application development via AI.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
- Experience supporting an on-prem-to-cloud migration.
