Online Dutch Teacher (Native or Near-Native Level) — Remote, Mexico

Clases de Holandés en CDMX is looking for an experienced online Dutch teacher to join our team. We offer private, one-on-one Dutch lessons to Mexican adults, including exam preparation for the MVV (inburgeringsexamen buitenland). We're expanding our teaching team and looking for someone who can start soon.

About the Role

- 100% online lessons, taught via video call
- Flexible scheduling — you set your own availability
- Work as an independent contractor (paid against CFDI invoices — see requirements below)
- Pay: $300 MXN per hour taught

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, structured one-on-one Dutch lessons to adult learners
- Prepare students for the MVV exam (Basisexamen Inburgering Buitenland) as needed
- Track student progress and align lessons with CEFR levels (A1–B1 typically)
- Adapt lesson plans to individual student goals and pace
- Communicate professionally and reliably with students and school coordinators

Requirements

- Language level: Native or near-native (C2) proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written
- Education: Bachelor's degree (any field)
- Teaching qualification: A recognized teaching certification or teacher-training course (e.g., a language-teaching certificate, didactics course, or equivalent training)




- Experience: Prior experience preparing students for the MVV / Basisexamen Inburgering Buitenland
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of the CEFR framework and how to apply it to lesson planning and level assessment
- Experience teaching adults, ideally in a one-on-one or small-group online setting
- Location & tax status: Must reside in Mexico and be able to invoice the school via CFDI (i.e., registered with the SAT / able to issue valid facturas), as payment is processed against invoices
- Technical setup: Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet space for lessons, and a working webcam/headset
- Strong communication skills and reliability (punctuality, consistent availability)

Nice to Have

- Experience with online teaching platforms/tools (Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards)
- Familiarity with Dutch civic integration (inburgering) requirements beyond the MVV
- Materials or curriculum you've developed for exam prep
