Job Summary

The Sr. Buyer is a senior-level position responsible for leading complex procurement projects and initiatives. This role involves conducting advanced sourcing and purchasing activities, performing in-depth cost analysis, and developing strategies to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

The Sr. Buyer works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve procurement issues, implement cost‑saving measures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior buyers and providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Sourcing and Procurement:

Identify and source potential suppliers

Review and analyze supplier proposals

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers

Maintain and update supplier database

Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

In‑depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
