This role focuses on engineering calculations and numerical model implementation, supporting system performance calculations for water‑cooled chillers. The successful candidate will apply strong fundamentals in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical methods to develop, validate, and optimize HVAC/R system models, working closely with general engineering and product teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Modeling Engineer, you'll be responsible for:Develop and maintain HVAC system and component calculation models, including:Model requirement definitionTest plan developmentVerification and validationImplement engineering algorithms and numerical methods to support performance prediction and product behaviorDevelop and maintain calculation software in Fortran-based and C#)Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development Engineering,



and global teams to translate customer and product requirements into engineering modelsEnsure model accuracy, robustness, and maintainability through validation and continuous improvementDocument modeling assumptions, methods, and results for traceability and knowledge sharingRequirementsWe are looking for people who are skilled on leading technical efforts or define modeling / calculation approaches for complex engineering systems. As a minimum you must have:University Degree or equivalentA minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience.Strong fundamentals in: Heat transfer Thermodynamics Numerical methods Nonlinear equation systemsExperience with thermal-fluid system modelingHands‑on programming experience in Fortran and C# (preferred) or similar numerical languages (C/C++, Java)Experience developing or maintaining engineering calculation models or simulation toolsExperience in HVAC/R, power systems, or related equipment domainDemonstrated ability to lead technical efforts or define modeling / calculation approaches for complex engineering systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate across global, cross‑functional teamsAbility to work independently on technical problems while contributing to team objectivesAlthough not necessary,
