Location: Merida, MexicoDepartment: Construction / Project ManagementType: Full-TimeSalary: $26,000 - $30,000 MXN (depends on the experience)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled professional with experience in structural plans, and US construction practices.
This role is critical in helping bridge the gap between project drawings, field execution, and client communication.The idóneo candidate must be capable of independently reviewing plans, understanding construction scope, identifying project risks, and communicating effectively with both field teams and clients - without requiring constant supervision or explanation.We are looking for someone who can think critically, ask the right technical questions, and develop a strong understanding of how plans translate into real-world construction operations.Key ResponsibilitiesReview demolition, structural, and architectural drawings, revisions, agenda, and project specificationsInterpret complex structural plans and identify demolition sequencing, temporary support, and shoring considerationsAnalyze construction documents to understand project scope, labor impacts, and field execution requirementsPerform quantity takeoffs and progress evaluations for demolition and construction scopesIdentify discrepancies, scope gaps, RFIs, and potential change order opportunitiesAssist in preparing conceptual and time-and-material estimates using labor, equipment, disposal, and production assumptionsCommunicate directly with superintendents, project managers, and clients to clarify project scope and field conditionsTrack drawing revisions and summarize scope impacts in clear written narrativesSupport billing validation by reconciling completed work against contractual scopeIdentify risks related to remobilization, missed scope, sequencing conflicts,
or underbillingDevelop a practical understanding of how drawings relate to field operations and construction means & methodsPerform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.Qualifications3+ years of experience in estimating, construction coordination, or related construction tradesStrong ability to read and interpret structural, demolition, and architectural plansUnderstanding of US construction practices, terminology, materials, and field operationsFamiliarity with demolition sequencing, temporary shoring concepts, and structural considerations is strongly preferredAbility to independently analyze plans and understand project scope without extensive guidanceExperience with quantity takeoffs, progress tracking, estimating, or field coordinationStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to ask meaningful technical questions and identify missing information proactivelyProficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and Google SheetsStrong English communication skills (written and verbal)Comfortable communicating directly with US-based clients and field personnelHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedDeliverablesWeekly project progress and scope reconciliation reportsQuantity takeoff summariesScope gap and drawing revision analysisBilling readiness recommendationsChange order and T&M; support estimatesRisk assessments related to sequencing, missed scope, or remobilizationClear written summaries explaining project impacts and field implicationsWhy should you be part of our Talented Team?
