POSITION SUMMARYThe Purchasing Manager will lead and support their team of Buyers to ensure that they meet their goals and continuously improve their performance.RESPONSIBILITIESLead the team of Buyers (8-10) in MexicaliSet performance goals for the Buyers and establish actions plans to meet themManages the regional Buyer team including coaching, training, resource allocation, PTO, HR systems maintenance...)Serves as the 1st point of escalation for expediting critical shortages for Operations.Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to purchasing, space optimization, and inbound freight costs as requiredRecommends ideas that improve effectiveness and efficiency of team to Director, Americas PurchasingReviews all purchase orders that require approval per Vertiv procedures to ensure SOX complianceResponsible for ensuring that procedures exist and are documented to support Buyers' compliance with Vertiv Procurement and Operations proceduresQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Purchasing,



Supply Chain Management or equivalent functional experience requiredStrong leadership skills and proven track record of driving continuous improvementAPICS or ISM certification or evidence showing progress towards achieving requiredExcellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with senior-level leadershipExcellent organizational, analytical thinking and multi-tasking skillsDetail-oriented and ability to thrive is a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills and responsivenessStrong understanding of cost management best practicesProficient using ERP systems e.G.
