The Purchasing Assistant provides clerical and administrative office work such as data processing, document processing, and record and file maintenance in support of the purchasing/procurement department.The role focuses on operational processes within the purchasing/procurement function and may support a Purchasing/Procurement Manager or Director.The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all formula requests are handled accurately and timely, and that item and ingredient needs are fulfilled.The position maintains daily communication with procurement, formulation, and production team managers, and assists the customer service team with orders, invoicing, and administrative functions.Working with buyers, the assistant helps maintain proper order levels and timing of delivery to achieve optimum production efficiency.The work is well‐defined, standardized, and may include some secretarial and general office duties.The Purchasing Assistant reports to the team manager.ResponsibilitiesReview, process, and execute weekly mill and warehouse order requests,
