**What is it?
**This position is responsible for designing and developing electro-mechanical systems and components which comply with internal, customer, and regulatory specifications and requirements.This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Alps Alpine North America, Inc.This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures**Essential Functions**:- Responsible for creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and the principles of GD&T.;
- Responsible for analyzing 3D models and engineering drawings from other sources for engineering feasibility.
- Responsible for collaborating with electrical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical and electrical systems seamlessly.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including design specifications, DFMEA's, open issues lists, test plans, and technical reports.
- Responsible for evaluating and troubleshooting prototype and final product performance to ensure functionality and reliability.This includes root cause analysis and countermeasure investigation.
- Responsible for creating clear and detailed presentation materials to communicate complex engineering concepts to cross-functional team members.




**Other Duties**:- Responsible for conducting detailed static and dynamic structural analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
- Perform analysis of part dimensional reports and generate clear reports.
- Conduct part tolerance stack-ups of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Conduct thermal analysis of electro-mechanical systems and generate clear reports.
- Analyze part designs for feasibility for a variety of manufacturing methods, including but not limited to: injection molding, compression molding, die-casting, stamping, vibration welding, and ultrasonic welding- Create high-quality 3D sheet surfaces using CAD software.
- Perform other related duties as required.
