APM TerminalsProcurement Manager**Location**:Mexico City or Mérida — covering Lázaro Cárdenas & Yucatán Terminals**Department**:Procurement**Reports to**:Head of Procurement Mexico**Your Mission**:Step into a high-impact leadership role where procurement isn't just about purchasing—it's about powering performance, driving sustainability, and shaping the future of terminal operations.As Procurement Manager, you'll lead sourcing strategies and projects across two key terminals, ensuring every decision delivers value, efficiency, and long-term impact.
**What You'll Do**:**Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Excellence**:- Lead procurement projects across civil works, asset management, and facilities.
- Drive procurement activities in Lázaro Cárdenas and Yucatán terminals, fully aligned with corporate goals and sustainability commitments.
- Negotiate best-in-class terms for pricing, delivery, credit, and after-sales support.
- Manage projects, including engineering-related initiatives.
- Build and nurture strategic supplier relationships that drive innovation and reliability.Advise senior leadership on procurement strategy, reporting systems, and operational best practices.
**️ Governance & Risk Management**:- Manage relationships with integral, regional, and local stakeholders.
- Champion compliance with Procurement Standards, Finance Control Manual, and Sustainable Procurement policies.
- Strengthen governance and reduce exposure to fraud, liability, and inefficiencies.
- Promote transparency and accountability in all procurement processes.
**️ Operational Leadership**:- Oversee tender procedures, bid evaluations, and supplier selection based on clear, competitive criteria.
- Reassess and renegotiate existing contracts to secure optimal terms for APM Terminals.
- Ensure procurement procedures align with global standards and financial controls.
- Lead the preparation of RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and supplier assessments with precision and strategic insight.Conduct market and risk analyses to inform smarter sourcing decisions.
**What You Bring**:- Proven experience in procurement leadership, ideally within logistics, maritime, or industrial sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
- Deep knowledge of procurement governance, compliance frameworks, and sustainability practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.A proactive mindset with the ability to lead teams, foster engagement, and influence cross-functional decisions.
