Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Senior Product Development Engineer – EDS Design Release About the Role As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for complex Electrical Distribution System programs, serving as the primary engineering interface with customers while driving design excellence, mentoring engineers and leading continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product development lifecycle. What You'll Do Lead the development and release of complex automotive wire harness systems. Serve as the primary technical contact for customer engineering activities. Drive engineering change management and technical decision-making. Lead design reviews, validation activities and customer meetings. Guide root cause investigations and implement robust engineering solutions. Mentor and develop less experienced engineers. Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost reduction initiatives. Promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization. Support vehicle launches and resolves complex technical issues. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical,
Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline. Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in automotive product development. Advanced knowledge of CAD, PLM and customer engineering systems. Expertise in DFMEA, DVP, Design for Manufacturing and engineering change management. Experience interacting directly with OEM customers. Six Sigma or equivalent certification is a plus. Onsite at office Must have reliable transportation from and to work Must be able to travel domestically and internationally Overtime may be necessary from time-to-time What Will Help You Succeed Technical leadership. Physical Requirements : Ability to troubleshoot and rework wire harnesses in warehouse setting, during wire harness or vehicle builds, or after assembly on the vehicles.
