What you'll do

- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime for users.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation of IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues that may impact project timelines.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Maintain documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure security and proper functioning of systems.




- Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and best practices for IT usage.
- Respond to and resolve service desk tickets, providing excellent customer service and communication throughout the process.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they scale into significant problems.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware and software, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations for the IT infrastructure.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT operations or technical support roles.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, with a solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills,



both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical staff.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to maintain system integrity and security.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are a plus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
- Understanding of database management systems and basic SQL knowledge.
- Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
