About the Company

Distribuciones Orvel is a growing Mexican company dedicated to the wholesale sale of groceries for international markets, with operations based in the Guadalajara metropolitan area (Zapopan / Tlaquepaque, Jalisco).

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our international purchasing team. The role focuses on supplier communication, purchase order follow-up, maintaining accurate product information, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely procurement and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Follow up on purchase orders with international suppliers.
- Maintain constant communication with suppliers regarding order status, production schedules, and shipping updates.
- Request and collect product documentation, certificates, specifications, labels, and compliance documents.
- Update and maintain purchase order information in the ERP system (Odoo).
- Coordinate with Logistics, Sales, Compliance, and Warehouse teams.
- Monitor pending tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support inventory planning and purchasing activities.

Requirements





- Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or an administrative position (1–2 years preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus (Odoo preferred).
- English proficiency of approximately 80–90%, both written and verbal, as the role involves regular communication with international suppliers and coordination with our internal team on documentation, emails, and meetings.
