Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality Manager, Plant Managers, and hourly employees to maintain and improve business systems. The Quality Engineer may Supervise, Quality Technicians, Auditors, Documentation, Test, etc. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for plans, implementing and coordinate applicable Corrective, Preventive and Technical controls of Processes and Products as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products.

•Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.

•Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.

•Monitor and inform/communicate/apply standards created/maintained by external bodies and integrate within internal quality management systems.

•Establish and implement necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.





•Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.

•Liaison with quality management and standards bodies (e.g., ISO, TL, Government Departments, HSE, etc.)

•Liaison with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacting/affected by quality issues)

•Assists in the identification of root cause and develop/implement effective corrections and preventive methods.

•Participates in Product and Process development teams as applicable. Actively participates in Cross Functional work teams.

•Assists In the development of Product / Process Quality and Inspection plans, to include the application of Statistical Techniques, for the detection and reduction of errors, and the monitoring of critical to Quality processes.
