Job Summary:
As an analog IC design engineer in Semtech, you will be working in a team environment contributing to design and development of advanced CMOS, bipolar, and SiGe data and video communications products at data rates 1 to 50Gbs and beyond.

Responsibilities:
- Design of integrated circuits from concept to manufacture (40%)
- System level simulations, circuit design, and layout supervision (30%)
- Preparation of technical reviews and product documentation (10%)
- Design and technology industry awareness (5%)




- Assessment of product feasibility, schedule, and costs (5%)
- Test planning and prototype evaluation (5%)
- Lab evaluation of high-speed analog circuits (5%)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Understanding of analog circuit fundamentals of key analog building blocks such as bias circuits, opamps, analog filters, CML logic, ADC and DACs using CMOS and/or BiCMOS technologies. Knowledge of more advanced circuits such as VCOs and closed-loop systems such as PLLs and clock and data recovery circuits is a plus.
- Appreciation of layout concepts, device models, and the effects of parasitics and other non-idealities on high-speed circuit performance.
- Experience with advanced analog CAD tools, particularly Cadence Virtuoso. Other tools such as Agilent ADS, HFSS, Matlab or other system modelling software considered a plus.
