The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position is a critical part of our follow-the-sun support model, ensuring the highest levels of availability, reliability, and performance for our SQL Server infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies,
collaborate with a multicultural team, and play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our database systems.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain high availability and reliability of the SQL Server infrastructure.
- Participate in the follow-the-sun support model.
- Build and implement new database infrastructure.
- Apply updates and patches to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
- Attend incident calls as per SLAs.
- Enforce and uphold security and compliance policies.
- Ensure adherence to backup and recovery policies.
- Document legacy processes for improved clarity and efficiency.
- Coach junior DBAs to enhance their technical skills.
- Oversee performance, applying quick fixes and escalating complex cases to the performance tuning team.
- Collaborate with other teams to discuss and optimize the underlying database infrastructure.
