Overview*
ResponsibilitiesThe Sr Cost Improvement Engineer is responsible for managing and driving a project portfolio focused on quality and continuous improvements across the Americas region. While cost optimization remains a key secondary element of continuous improvement, the primary priority for this role is leading engineering projects dedicated to Quality Improvement (QI). Operating as an engineering-level individual contributor, this role works in close collaboration with cross-functional partners in Manufacturing, Sourcing, R&D;, and Finance to achieve product excellence, operational consistency, and target results for LIXIL International.
Key responsabilities:
Quality Improvement (QI) Priority: Lead technical engineering projects aimed at improving product performance, reliability, and defect reduction across the Fixtures portfolio.
Continuous Improvement (CI):
Support CI initiatives to optimize component design, processes, and cost efficiency while strictly maintaining product quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Manufacturing, Sourcing, R&D;, and Finance teams to align technical goals and execute projects on schedule.
Regional Scope: Oversee and coordinate engineering project activities exclusively within the Americas region.
Problem Solving & Data Analysis: Apply root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex quality and manufacturing issues.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related analytical discipline. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional engineering experience, with practical exposure to managing or driving technical projects.
Methodology: Practical working knowledge of Quality Improvement (QI) and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles.
Project Management: Fundamental knowledge of project management disciplines and effective team dynamics.
Influence & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams toward project outcomes
