Purchasing representative within cross-functional project teams from acquisition phase through SOP, responsible for supplier sourcing, cost management, supplier readiness, and technical feasibility to support successful product launches across the Americas region.

Responsibilities

- Manage sourcing activities from RFQ release through supplier nomination and project launch.

- Analyze supplier quotations and support sourcing decisions based on commercial and technical evaluations.

- Negotiate pricing, tooling investments, and commercial terms to achieve project cost targets.

- Monitor supplier development activities, APQP progress, qualification status, and project timing.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Category Management throughout the sourcing process.

- Support localization initiatives and implementation of purchasing strategies.





- Drive cost reduction and design-to-cost initiatives while ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.

- Maintain effective communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams in a integral environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Project Purchasing within the automotive industry.

- Strong understanding of RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, APQP, PPAP and supplier development.

- Knowledge of Incoterms, commercial agreements, cost analysis and procurement strategies.

- Advanced English communication skills.

- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, SupplyOn and purchasing-related systems.

- Experience working in multicultural and international business environments.
