As a Backend Engineer (Scala), you will design and develop high-performance backend services and data-heavy applications using functional programming principles.

You will ensure the scalability and reliability of our systems by leveraging JVM-based technologies to process complex data sets efficiently.

What You'll Do Design and implement scalable backend services using Scala and functional programming patterns.

Build and maintain high-concurrency systems utilizing frameworks like Akka or Play.

Optimize application performance by deep-diving into JVM internals and memory management.

Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data models for data-intensive applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectural standards and service requirements.





Ensure system robustness through rigorous testing and proactive troubleshooting of distributed systems.

What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on functional programming.

Proven expertise in building backend services and data-heavy applications using Scala.

Proficiency with the Akka or Play frameworks for developing scalable, concurrent systems.

Strong understanding of JVM internals and SQL for performance optimization and data persistence.

Hands-on experience implementing functional programming patterns to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
