As a Data Engineer specializing in dbt, you will design and build scalable transformation pipelines within the modern data stack. You will serve as the connection between raw data ingestion and actionable business intelligence, ensuring that datasets are modeled with precision, consistency, and high performance for downstream analytics.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data transformation workflows using dbt to process large-scale datasets.
- Develop and optimize modular data models using star and snowflake schemas to support complex analytical requirements.
- Write and tune advanced SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing and leverage cloud data warehouse capabilities.
- Apply software engineering best practices to the analytics workflow, including version control and documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data quality standards and implement automated tests within the transformation layer.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance to ensure data reliability, freshness, and scalability across the organization.
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proven expertise in building and optimizing data transformations using dbt (Core or Cloud).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex query development and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
