We are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to guide a part-time engagement focused on data semantics, data governance, and AI/ML integration on AWS.

You will own key technical decisions across the data engineering workstream and help shape an analytics platform aligned with AWS best practices—apply to make an impact.

Responsibilities Lead the data engineering workstream with a focus on data semantics and governance

Design data governance frameworks and define practical governance processes

Define data models, ontologies, and a semantic layer to support analytics use cases

Build AI/ML integration using Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio and Agents

Support analytics platform architecture aligned with AWS best practices

Own technical decisions for the data engineering workstream and deliver under direction

Collaborate with stakeholders to align governance, semantics,



and AI/ML outcomes Requirements 8+ years of data engineering experience in production environments

Hands-on Amazon SageMaker experience including SageMaker Unified Studio

Experience designing and implementing data governance processes

Strong leadership skills to drive a data engineering workstream and make technical decisions

Strong architecture skills to support analytics platform design aligned with AWS best practices

AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty certification

Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for technical discussions and documentation Nice to have Data semantics and ontology design experience

Hands-on experience with AWS Glue

Hands-on experience with Amazon Athena
