About the Position: The Field Technician III is responsible for performing advanced preventive and corrective maintenance activities on utility-scale renewable energy assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Reporting to the O&M; Manager, this role serves as a technical leader in the field by performing complex troubleshooting, supporting commissioning activities, mentoring junior technicians, and driving continuous improvements in asset reliability and operational performance. Responsibilities:

Advanced Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Performs complex preventive and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic plants and associated electrical systems, leads fault diagnosis, and implements effective corrective actions to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.

Plant

Operations & Performance Optimization – Monitors plant performance, identifies operational risks, analyzes equipment performance trends, and recommends technical improvements to optimize energy production, asset reliability, and maintenance efficiency.

Technical

Support & Equipment Reliability – Provides advanced technical support for electrical, mechanical, and control systems,



ensuring timely resolution of complex equipment failures and minimizing operational downtime. Commissioning & Technical Documentation – Leads or supports commissioning activities, functional testing, technical investigations, and the development and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.

Technical

Leadership & Team Development – Serves as a technical resource for Field Technicians, provides mentoring and on-the-job training, promotes knowledge sharing, and supports the coordination of field activities while fostering maintenance best practices. Safety & Compliance – Ensures all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company policies, HSE requirements, electrical safety standards, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.

Continuous

Improvement – Identifies opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, operational procedures, and overall plant performance through technical recommendations and process optimization initiatives.

Additional

Responsibilities – Supports special projects, emergency maintenance activities,



and performs other duties as assigned to meet operational and business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience: Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance or field service within the renewable energy or power generation industry.

Extensive experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale photovoltaic plants and associated electrical infrastructure.

Proven experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, protection diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.

Knowledge of industrial communication systems, networking, and SCADA platforms is considered an asset.

Strong understanding of HSE requirements, electrical safety standards, and operational procedures within renewable energy facilities.

Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Professional proficiency in Spanish is required.

Basic

English proficiency is considered an asset.

Additional

Requirements

Availability to travel frequently within Mexico and occasionally to other locations based on business needs.

Availability to respond to emergency maintenance activities outside regular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call situations when required.

Valid driver's license.
