Senior General Ledger Transition Lead (Shared Services / GBS)

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the transition of multiple Waygate Technologies entities into our Global Business Services (GBS) organization in Monterrey.

This unique opportunity combines hands-on finance transition leadership with the future responsibility of leading our General Ledger Accounting Operations team. You'll play a critical role in integrating finance processes, ensuring operational continuity, and establishing a best-in-class shared services organization supporting a integral business.

If you have a strong General Ledger background, extensive SAP experience, and a proven track record leading finance transitions within Shared Services environments, we'd like to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

- Transition phase (initial focus)
- Lead end-to-end finance transitions: planning, knowledge transfer, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
- Coordinate process documentation, activity splits, workflows, and issue tracking.
- Ensure operational readiness: SAP access, banking setup, tools and data migration.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Tax, and local entities.
- Ensure business continuity and smooth handover to GBS operations.
- Post-transition (future role)
- Team Leader General Ledger / Accounting Operations team within GBS
- Recruit and manage direct reports.
- Own month-end close and reporting quality
- Drive process standardization, controls, and continuous improvement.
- Support audit readiness and statutory compliance coordination.





Qualifications

- Strong SAP experience / HFM / OneStream (GL, month-end close, transactions)
- At least seven years of experience in Finance
- Solid Accounting / General Ledger background in SSC / GBS environment
- Proven experience in finance transitions into shared services
- Hands-on exposure to US based entities (multi-country environment)
- Ability to combine execution + leadership potential.
- Pragmatic, structured, and able to operate in a fast-moving integration context.

Nice to have

- Experience with multi-entity transitions / carve-outs / integrations.
- Knowledge of closing/reporting tools and data mapping
- Exposure to tax (VAT, federal, sales) and other statutory requirements
- Continuous improvement mindset (standardization, automation)
