About the Position: The O&M; Manager – Mexico is responsible for leading the Operations & Maintenance activities for utility-scale renewable energy assets across Mexico, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations throughout the asset lifecycle. Reporting to the LATAM O&M; Manager, this role drives operational excellence by leading field teams, managing contractors and client relationships, optimizing asset performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering contractual commitments aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities:
Operations Leadership – Leads the day-to-day Operations & Maintenance activities across assigned renewable energy assets, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance while providing leadership and direction to field teams.
Asset Performance & Maintenance Strategy – Develops and implements maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts planning, and equipment reliability initiatives to maximize plant availability, optimize performance, and achieve contractual KPIs while minimizing downtime.
Team Leadership & Development – Leads, coaches, and develops Site Supervisors, Field Technicians, Electricians, and other site-based personnel, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability,
technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Contractor, Supplier & Client Management – Manages relationships with contractors, suppliers, and clients, overseeing service agreements, maintenance coordination, performance reviews, and regular operational meetings to ensure service excellence and contractual compliance.
Operational & Financial Management – Monitors operational performance, manages maintenance budgets, reviews invoices, oversees service contracts, controls operational expenditures, and supports financial efficiency through effective planning and resource management.
Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance – Ensures full compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, company standards, and applicable legal requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
Operational Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Analyzes operational performance metrics, prepares management reports, identifies improvement opportunities, and implements initiatives that enhance asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and overall operational excellence.
Additional Responsibilities – Supports strategic initiatives, special projects, emergency maintenance activities, and performs other duties as required to meet operational and business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of Operations & Maintenance experience within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, BESS, or similar industrial environments).
Proven experience managing Operations & Maintenance activities for utility-scale renewable energy assets, including preventive and corrective maintenance, asset reliability, and operational performance optimization.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams, contractors, and service providers in complex operational environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power generation equipment, troubleshooting methodologies, maintenance planning, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
Experience managing maintenance contracts, vendor performance, service agreements, customer relationships, budgets, invoice approvals, and operational reporting.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, maintenance documentation, and engineering specifications.
Knowledge of HSE management systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement methodologies within industrial or renewable energy operations.
Project Management experience and/or a postgraduate qualification is considered an asset.
Professional proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.

Requirements
Willingness to travel frequently within Mexico and occasionally across LATAM.
Availability to support emergency maintenance activities outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call situations when required.
Valid driver's license.
