**Engineering Manager**
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects.
- Plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule and on budget
- Communicate and collaborate with other managers, stakeholders and contractors.
- Prioritize, delegate and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables.
- Manage, support, and evaluate engineers’ performance.
- Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities.
- Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed.
- Build the entire technical documentation and project roadmaps.
- Developing detailed plans for new designs and products
- Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs
- Proposing project and program budgets
- Hiring and supervising staff
- Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
- Check their team’s work for technical accuracy.
- Develop and improve the maintenance program for all the manufacturing equipment.
- Use of MTBF and MTTR to improve the maintenance program for all the manufacturing equipment.
- KPI’s tracking and improvement plan implementation (Safety, OEE, Downtime, Scrap, Productivity, Capital Plan, Cost Reductions, etc.).
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Minimum five to ten years as an engineer manager
- Strong team leadership, organizational and management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Great analytical and math skills
- Ability to interact with many people at variety of levels within and outside of the reporting structure.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel.
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously.
