Power Systems

Engineer at BairesDev As a Power Systems Engineer, you will maintain and evolve infrastructure built on IBM Power Systems. You will serve as a technical link between legacy reliability and modern performance, ensuring that mission-critical IBMi environments remain stable, secure, and optimized for enterprise needs.

What You'll Do Plan and execute the design, implementation, and end-to-end support of IBM Power servers and IBMi partitions.

Manage virtualization and system resources through HMC and PowerVM to maintain high-performance workloads.

Develop custom business logic and system automations using RPG and CL scripting.

Implement robust high-availability and disaster recovery strategies utilizing PowerHA or similar solutions.





Optimize system management workflows by integrating and maintaining Fortra toolsets.

Oversee proactive system health through regular patching, firmware updates, and performance tuning of IBMi environments.

What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in IBM Power Systems engineering or IBMi administration.

Proven expertise in IBMi (OS/400) and RPG development.

Proficiency in Power Systems administration, including PowerHA, PowerVM, and HMC.

Hands-on experience with Fortra toolsets for system management and maintenance.
