**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **1. Job Costing**:
- Develop and maintain robust job costing systems for accurate tracking of project expenses, encompassing materials, labor, and overhead costs.
**2. Financial Transactions and General Ledger Management**:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions meticulously and promptly, ensuring the accurate coding and classification of expenses and revenues.
- Maintain the general ledger through recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and conducting month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Monitor cash flow activities, including bank reconciliations, cash disbursements, and cash receipts, ensuring the liquidity and accuracy of financial records.
**3. Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial reports related to job costing, incorporating variance analysis, cost performance reports, and profitability analysis.
- Generate detailed financial statements and reports for management review, ensuring adherence to accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
**4. Budgeting and Forecasting**:




- Collaborate in the development of project budgets and forecasts, integrating job costing data and considerations related to federal funding.
- Monitor budget performance, offering regular stakeholder updates, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze job cost data to evaluate project profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance cost estimation accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and department heads, ensuring the prompt and precise recording of job costs.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on job costing, general accounting cycle, and/or federal fund management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, specifically in job costing methodologies and reporting procedures.
- Familiarity with federal fund management regulations and compliance standards, particularly the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
- Proficiency in utilizing accounting software and financial management tools for streamlined processes, task automation, and accurate report generation.
