Education: Solid foundations in computer science with the ability to learn new technologies, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in computing.
**Experience**:
- 2 years of experience with using Linux OS and various distributions. Specifically Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat
- 2 years of experience working with web servers in a highly redundant environment. Experience with Nginx a plus
- Experience using scripting and automation to maintain and implement systems: saltstack, chef, ansible
- 2 years of experience working with cloud computing services and deployments: capistrano, kubernetes, aws, gcp
- 2 years of experience working with sql databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with NoSQL database solutions: CouchDB, MongoDB
- Experience with monitoring and metrics collection software: Prometheus, Grafana, Icinga
- Experience architecting HA solutions in a multi-node environment.
- Experience with VOIP system implementation, customization, and administration a plus: FreePBX, Asterisk Telecom
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical team members.
- Confident, proactive, self-starter, work independently, team player
Knowledge:




- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, firewalls and load balancing
- Fundamentals of Linux Server Administration
- Working knowledge of code repository systems, specifically git
- Understanding of programming techniques and structures
- Ability to discern unsafe practices and proactively suggest solutions that meet Amco’s standards for security and compliance Languages:
- Elixir and Erlang based software
- Python
- Bash
- PHP a plus
- Fluent spoken and written English

Base salary: $60,000 to $67,000 gross, 100% payroll
