**Job Summary/Overview**:
**Position**:Metrologist **Location**:Monterrey
**Position Overview**: The Metrologist is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, recording and analyzing measurement results gathered during product development and production.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain inspection reports
- Ensure compliance to company standards and specifications
- Maintain and document calibration of quality control equipment
- Perform inspections across all stages of production
- Prepare and maintain test data for review
- Evaluate data and draft reports, analize any relevant deviations from existing standards
- Works with Materials/Purchasing Department to assure acceptable supplier quality and delivery,
with manufacturing to assure acceptable process quality and with NDP Engineering to assure acceptable product specs.
**Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities**:
- Gage software knowledge.
- Gearing measurement knowledge.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- GD&T; blueprint reading.
- Ability to utilize the following gages and measuring devices: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hardness tester, optical comparator, spectrometer, CMM, Faro arm, go/no go gages
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency, teamwork, keen attention to detail, ability to plan, organize and multi-task.
**Required Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
- 2 + years of CMM programming and operation experience
- 5 + years in metal-mechanical industries
