About The Position The Senior Manager – Commercialization leads projects for new product introductions, renovations, packaging changes, and commercialization projects. This role ensures materials are available on time, project timelines are aligned, launch readiness is clear, inventory is managed effectively, and cross-functional execution runs from project kickoff through market launch. The position leads a team of six materials planning professionals and partners closely with Project Management, Product Change Management, Engineering, Procurement, R&D;, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Marketing, and Suppliers to align materials, packaging, specifications, plant readiness, and project milestones.
This role drives commercialization execution, identifies risks early, enables fast decision-making, and ensures materials planning supports business priorities, service levels, cost targets, and launch commitments. This position also manages the materials planning operation for the Lunchables brand, a $1 billion brand within Kraft Heinz. In Brief, You Will Be Responsible For Lead materials planning for commercialization projects, including new product introductions, renovations, packaging changes, trials, first production, and launch execution.
Translate project timelines into clear material readiness plans, milestones, risks, owners, and escalation needs. Partner cross-functionally with Project Management, Product Change Management, R&D;, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Marketing, and Suppliers to keep projects on track. Ensure materials, packaging, specifications, BOMs, supplier readiness,
and plant requirements are aligned for successful launch execution.
Identify material availability, lead-time, capacity, inventory, obsolescence, and project-timing risks, and drive mitigation plans. Monitor key metrics for material readiness, launch performance, inventory health, shortages, and commercialization execution. Lead, coach, and develop a team of six materials planning professionals.
Manage materials planning for the Lunchables brand, a $1 billion brand in Kraft Heinz.
People Management Responsibilities
Directly manage and develop a team of six materials planning professionals. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven team environment.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, commercialization, project management, or project-based manufacturing environments. Proven leadership experience managing teams. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, materials planning processes, commercialization routines, and launch-readiness requirements.
Experience supporting new product introduction, renovation, packaging changes, product change management, or commercialization projects. Strong cross-functional project execution, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and changing timelines in a fast-paced environment.
