The Associate Mechanical Engineer supports New Product Development and product sustaining tasks for the company’s Global Rack & Edge Thermal products.
**Responsibilities**:- Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to group.- Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature.- Creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, such as CREO.- Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.- Performs lab testing of products.- Works closely with technicians and junior engineers, providing technical support and guidance.
**Requirements**:
- 4 years of engineering product development or support experience.- Sheetmetal design experience- Basic working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products,
safety and test-methods.- Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures.- Data-entry systems familiarity & BOM Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc.- Basic mechanical CAD tools experience.
- o MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred
- o CREO preferred- Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.- Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.- Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional General Development Teams.- Fluency in English- Basic electrical experience a plus
