Job Description:
Context/Scope:
- The Customs Analyst acts as bridge between sourcing points and operations teams as responsible role for planning import process into Mexico to deliver product on time ensuring always fulfil with legal framework._
Purpose of Position
- The Customs analyst is essential for ensuring the efficiency of the supply chain and compliance with regulations. Their role includes managing documentation, operative costs and establishing relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and internal customers. Their work directly impacts on product availability and profitability on company goals_
- Leadership Responsibilities_
- This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, decision-making, and effective communication skills to collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders._
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication_:_
- Facilitating Cross-Department Collaboration_: Must effectively collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, supply chain, finance, procurement, and legal, to ensure seamless customs operations._
- Liaising with External Stakeholders:_ Must maintain effective communication with brokers, suppliers, and logistics partners. This is crucial for building strong relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth customs clearance processes._
Accountabilities




- _ Shipments follow up with suppliers for product in transit to Mexico._
- _ Communication with shipping companies for cargo releasing._
- _ Paperwork revision to avoid delays un customs process._
- _ Monitoring bonded warehouse acceptance entries and labelling inspections request_
- _ Support on internal and external audits._
- _ Raise any risk detected in daily operation._
- _ Record keeping_
- _ Submit for signature any document needs for customs process: Letters for customs procedures or cargo release with carriers._
- _ Audit customs broker expenses invoices._
- _ Authorize and follow up payments to suppliers._
- _ Provide documents for goods receipt_
- _ Process goods receipt in ERP- SAP_
Qualifications
- _ Bachelor's degree in International Business, Foreign Affairs, Business Administration or a related discipline._
- _ English Intermediate level_
- _ Excel (pivots and common functions for data analysis)_
- _ Experience in ERP and PBI is an extra plus_
Experience
- Experience in Customs and Trade Compliance. (2 - 3 years)_
- Knowledge of Customs Regulations. Bonded warehouse and Spirits Industry is a plus._
