About this role
Oversees the strategic planning, management, and coordination of NPI site services, (e.g. transport, facilities, and accomodation services) ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and high service standards to support the mine's goals and workforce well-being
In this role you will
**In this role, the individual will**:
Lead the operation in safety. Clearly demonstrate and execute safety leadership that prioritizes employee safety, and creates a culture of safety within the operation.
Identify and diagnose risks, opportunities and challenges within NPI service areas, and initiate plans to manage them. Conduct risk assessments, develop management systems to manage identified risk and verify the associated actions are being completed. Appropriately manage resources (human resources, funding, and equipment) against the plan. Establish compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards for transport and camp facilities, or other NPI services.
Create and deliver strategic plans for the efficient operation of site services - this may include transport, facilities, and accommodation services, as well as shared site facilities. Lead and guide cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiencies in all NPI services, such as transport, facilities, and camp management. Own budget planning, allocation, and financial management for these services.




Lead teams of employees and contractors in all NPI site services areas to achieve optimal service delivery. Articulate, role model and drive a culture of health and safety across all areas. Act as a leader, coach and mentor in all areas of technical expertise, safety, people leadership, and expected behaviors. Build current and future capability through training, talent management and development pathways.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment of transport, facilities, camp services, other NPI services with operational goals and ambitions in safety, health, and employee wellbeing. This could include ensuring healthy food programs, and a focus on equitable housing.
Initiate regular audits and inspections of NPI services such as transport systems, facilities, and camp conditions to maintain impactful standards. Monitor all key performance indicators, including safety, community, environment, and operational costs, reporting on all key metrics, risks, and corrective measures. Manage the overall budget. Investigate reports and data in and in audits to diagnose trends and action where appropriate.
Form part of the site leadership team, actively contributing to overall site leadership, culture, and site delivery, with focus and responsibility for the mining portfolio, production, safety, and teams.
Your training, skills and experience checklist
A bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Utilities, logistics or a related field. Several years of experience in NPI services (such as transportation, and accommodation) with a progression through roles of increasing responsibility.
