Patient Safety Team Lead - GBS

**The position**
- As a Patient Safety Team Lead at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Provide day-to-day management of the Case Processing team.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external (e.g. FDA) drug and device safety reporting requirements.
- Guide, train, and mentor team members to maintain high standards in safety records.
- Oversee the receipt, documentation, triage, case review, and quality assessment of all inbound safety information.
- Manage serious and non-serious adverse events and technical complaints for Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI) US marketed products.
- Participate in the resolution of any legal liability and comply with governmental regulations.
- Develop and design safety surveillance strategies for products and approvals.
- Contribute to trends and safety signal detection and risk management assessment for the products' life cycle.
- Provide safety support to the clinical development teams.
**Qualifications**
- We realize that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes then you could be the person we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a medical or science-related discipline, or relevant experience may be substituted for a degree when appropriate.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible, relevant experience, with at least 6 years in pharmacovigilance with knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with audits/inspections and customer service
- Fluent English
- Direct report management experience.
- Knowledge of NNI supported disease states (e.g. diabetes, obesity, haemophilia, growth hormone disorders).

- You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about handling safety information for the NNI Patient Safety department in GBS Mexico. The NNI Patient Safety (PS) Department consists of dedicated professionals for whom patient safety is not just a commitment, but a passion. The PS team is responsible for the receipt, triage, processing and quality assessment of all inbound safety information, including adverse events, for Novo Nordisk Inc's (NNI) US marketed products. NNI Patient Safety is part of CMR Strategic Operations department.
