**Job Title**: Senior Accountant**:
**Compensation**: $1,000 - $1,500/month

We are looking for a **highly skilled Senior Accountant** who brings expertise, leadership, and innovation to our team. This role involves managing accounting operations, building efficient financial systems, and supporting strategic goals while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
**What Youll Do**:
**Core Responsibilities**:
- ** Financial Oversight**:
- Manage the company's financial model, ensuring budget-to-actual tracking aligns with operational goals.
- Supervise accounting functions to ensure compliance with internal policies and U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee and execute timely and accurate monthly/yearly close processes and release financial statements within 7 days of EOM.
- ** Team Leadership**:
- Lead and develop a small team (1-3 bookkeepers/data entry staff) to support accounting functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, scalability, and efficiency in your team.
- ** Process Management**:
- Maintain audit-ready books, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
- Optimize A/R, A/P, payroll, and inventory processes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and implement budgeting processes.
- ** Reporting and Analysis**:
- Prepare financial forecasts (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Build department-specific financial dashboards with live data to support KPIs.
- Analyze variances and trends, providing actionable insights for senior leadership.
- ** Acquisition Integration**:
- Support due diligence and integration processes for business acquisitions, ensuring seamless financial and operational transitions.
**Day 1 Priorities**:
- Collaborate with the Head of G&A; on the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate financials.
- Establish monthly accounting review meetings with departments.
- Work with senior leaders to align KPI tracking with the financial model and budget.
- Build visibility and accountability around budget vs. actuals across all departments.
**What You Bring**:
**Required Experience**:
- 3+ years as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and tax compliance.
- Experience with inventory, costing methods, builds, and cost of goods sold.
- Proficiency in **QuickBooks Online** (advanced/expert) and **QuickBooks Desktop** (familiar).
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, complex formulas).
- Familiarity with payroll reports and platforms such as Paylocity.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
**Preferred Skills and Tools (or Willingness to Learn)**:
- Reach Reporting (financial consolidations).
- Fishbowl Inventory (inventory builds, costing methods, landing costs).
- Shopify, Wix, SquareUp (e-commerce platforms).
- Slack for communication and team collaboration.
- Experience with integrations between multiple tools and platforms.
