We're on the lookout for a **Chief Systems Engineer** dedicated to coaching team members, overseeing tasks, and boosting platform automation.
This position calls for someone with substantial experience in development, particularly in Site Reliability Engineering, and is suited for an individual enthusiastic about lessening manual work through automation with an array of scripting and cloud technologies.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide guidance to the team on best practices and delegate tasks effectively
- Ensure team coverage and address conflicts within the group
- Advance platform automation and ongoing enhancement
- Oversee incidents and contribute to solution development
- Study operations and assemble reports on system efficiency
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a systems engineering role or related field
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering
- Proficiency in Python and PowerShell with a strong enthusiasm for automation
- Qualifications in Azure infrastructure including networking and operating systems
- Capability to use Azure DevOps pipelines; having exposure to GCP is beneficial
- Understanding of Kubernetes and Containers; Familiarity with AKS is beneficial
- Competency in debugging and troubleshooting issues
- Skills in managing operational issues with priority awareness
- Incident management experience, including participation in Post-Morte and RCAs
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure logs
- Fluent English communication abilities at a B2+ level
**Nice to have**
- Familiarity with Istio and Bastion
- Experience in handling both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Exposure to Elasticsearch
