Role Description
The Imports Analyst is responsible for the flawless execution of the international shipments of imports and exports of Zoetis Mexico. Supervises the activities executed by the customs broker ensuring full compliance to all tariff and non-tariff restrictions as well as full compliance to all sanitary and labeling applicable regulations. Is responsible for compile, review and ensure the correct and timely filing by the customs agent of each product imported by Zoetis Mexico while maintaining on a daily basis the international trade operations report. She/He is the person authorized to enter relevant financial information and other sensitive company’s information into the government electronic mailbox for the reception of paperwork. Maintains close communication with freight forwarders regarding arrival dates and coordinates all inland transportation and ensure availability of resources in the DC to receive the goods coming from the various ports of entrance. Maintain the damaged products report and file claims to insurance companies.
Review the completeness and accuracy of all expensed reports of the customs agent and ensure the timely payment of all its bills.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a close follow-up to the obtention of all required paperwork with the internal plants and 3rd party vendors. Review for completeness and accuracy.
- Elaborate and file in the government web portal all the value manifestations of each shipment
- Maintain all relevant import records in the International Trade Operations report.
- Review completeness and accuracy of broker’s expenses report and track the timely payment resolving all coming issues in the process.
- Plan for inland transport availability and coordinate receipts in the Distribution Center
- Maintain the report of damaged products received in the DC, file the claims to the insurance company and follow up through the conclusion of each case.
- Maintain the import declaration (Pedimento) numbers in SAP.
Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 1 years in customs operations, import/exports department or international transportation in a regulated GxP environment.
Skills:
- Dynamic, enthusiast and well-organized professional with good verbal and written communication skills and pays a lot of attention to details.
- Knowledge of the Mexican General Customs Law, non-tariff trade restrictions and customs operations and formalities
- Basic knowledge of international transportation and Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Cold Chain management and general Supply Chain Management concepts (Planning, Demand, Supply, Forecast
- Advanced computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, previous experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Other Commentaries
English level: A minimum of 50% English language proficiency - can establish business conversations and communicate effectively in writing.
Preferred place of residence: Mexico City.
