As a Software Engineer specializing in Git Internals, you will work on the core components of Git or Git-compatible infrastructure.
You will focus on the underlying architecture, storage mechanisms, and protocol layers that power modern version control systems.
What You'll Do: Design and implement core Git features and improvements within the version control system's internals.
Optimize storage and data structures to ensure high-performance handling of massive repositories.
Develop and maintain the protocol layer to improve the efficiency of data transfer and synchronization.
Collaborate with the engineering community to contribute to Git's open-source codebase or internal compatibility layers.
Enhance the reliability and scalability of version control infrastructure through deep systems programming.
