Software Engineer (Performance) at BairesDev
As a Performance Software Engineer, you will specialize in low-level systems tuning to ensure our Linux environments operate at peak efficiency. You will serve as the link between high-level application demands and the underlying hardware, optimizing kernel, memory, and I/O subsystems to handle massive scale.
What You'll Do
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of Linux kernel internals to optimize memory management and I/O subsystem performance.
- Develop and deploy eBPF programs and utilize perf to monitor and tune systems-level execution in real-time.
- Perform extensive CPU profiling and hardware-level analysis using tools like Nsight and VTune to eliminate execution delays.
- Refine kernel parameters and system configurations to align operating system behavior with specific high-scale workload requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose complex performance bottlenecks and implement architectural improvements at the OS level.
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on systems programming and performance tuning.
- Proven expertise in low-level Linux kernel internals, including memory management and I/O subsystems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with kernel-level performance tools like eBPF and perf.
- Hands-on experience with CPU profiling and hardware analysis tools such as Nsight or VTune.
- Strong background in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks at the OS and hardware level.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
