Team Overview:
As an AML Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing transactional activity on digital accounts to identify and escalate patterns related to money laundering or unusual financial behavior. You will work closely with the Compliance Officer to provide well-documented alerts based on your findings, and support investigations by gathering relevant data from both internal systems and external sources.
Role Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze transactional patterns in digital savings or deposit accounts (e.g., via SPEI and account balances)
- Identify suspicious activity related to AML and escalate potential SAR/ROI cases to the Compliance Officer
- Document and track escalations clearly,



with supporting evidence and risk rationale.
- Investigate customer behavior using internal data and open-source intelligence
- Stay up-to-date on typologies, red flags, and evolving threats related to AML in the fintech space
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and internal AML reviews as needed
Role Qualifications:
- +2 years of experience with at least 1 year of experience in AML, risk operations, compliance, or fraud monitoring.
- High school or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or a similar Quantitative field is preferred
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Familiarity with AML regulations in Mexico (e.g., LFPIORPI, CNBV).
- English proficiency (intermediate or above)
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence others, with strong leadership skills and ability to manage
- Experience in working autonomously and prioritizing multiple goals. Someone who is able to design risk management strategies and generate insights that could serve as recommendations for other teams
- Accept versátil schedule and work under pressure
