**Are you ready to grow your career in Payroll?** WK Kellogg Co is looking for a **Canada and U.S.** **Payroll Specialist** to join our dynamic Human Resources team at the **IES Office in Querétaro**. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple entities, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality.
As part of our regional payroll operations, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage critical payroll data, and help us deliver on our Service Level Agreements. Your attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and commitment to internal controls will be essential to your success.

**Work Type**: Hybrid (3 days per week at our Querétaro IES Office)
**HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
**Payroll Expertise & Compliance**
- Proven experience processing payroll for large employee populations (Canada and U.S.)
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices, including union and state-specific requirements
- Experience with short-term disability, parental leave, military leave, overpayments,
and garnishment processing
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce) and handling exception files, reconciliations, and vendor payments
**Planning & Prioritization**
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated skill in resolving payroll errors and ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs)
**Analytical & Financial Insight**
- Experience supporting account reconciliations and SOX 404 audit preparation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll calculations and reporting
- Ability to identify patterns and recommend process improvements for standardization
**Communication & Confidentiality**
- Excellent communication skills across internal and external stakeholders, including legal and compliance teams
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage sensitive employee inquiries professionally
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential payroll data
**Preferred Experience**
- Experience in a shared services or multinational environment
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar case management tools
- Knowledge of Canada and U.S. legislation
**YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in Canadian and U.S. payroll or a similar role
- Ability to interpret complex legal and tax regulations
- Intermediate accounting skills, with a focus on large-scale reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data with discretion
**Preferred**:
- 2-5 years of experience processing multi-country payrolls
- BA in Accounting or certification such as CPP, FPP, CEBS, or HR designation
- Familiarity with payroll best practices and compliance standards
- Experience working with a Fortune 500 company or similar environment
- Proficiency with Ceridian or similar payroll platforms
