JOB PURPOSE
Provide a high level summary of the overall purpose, scope and objective(s) of the job that explains why the job exists.
The position of UI/Web Designer is responsible of creating outstanding U/I Web design based on the content and initiatives associated with www.marykay.com.mx
Working with the Digital and Communications teams adapting the brand identity graphics to responsive web elements, in order to create prototypes, designs and wireframes for both Web sites, coordinating the efforts of online production, internal project owners, third-party vendors, ISPs (where applicable), and Mary Kay Inc. The position is also tasked with leading synergistic, consistent branding and image for all online initiatives.
The UI/Web Designer must be able to take a proactive lead in ensuring optimum Web site usability and simplicity for customers and independent beauty consultants, manage Web site updates and improvements through internal coordination with IT development, business owners and QA teams.
The UI/Web Designer should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design and optimize graphics established by the brand and transform them into creative elements used to build web page structures in order to create User Interfaces that respond the needs of business owners and team strategies.

Conceptualize, design and coordination of engaging interactive online experiences by translating brand and business objectives into strategic creative solutions. Participate in social media initiatives
3. Support for all product categories and various areas in generating web assets used for Product Information Management (PIM), landing pages, and other elements related to our websites.
4. Coordination of internal Web projects, e-mail campaigns and online surveys to the independent sales force and external audiences – including ownership of online campaign calendar.
SKILLS
1. Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
2. Creative thinker with the ability and vision to take creative concepts to design execution.
3. Ability to prioritize workflow and manage numerous initiatives simultaneously – while meeting critical deadlines.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism (English) a definite asset.
5. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
6. Proficiency in Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign. Basic understanding of programming languages HTML/CSS.
7. High Proficiency in English.
8. Ability to work in both PC and Mac platforms (position works in Mac; PC is simply as a support and/or testing).
9. Domestic / International overnight travel required approximately 5% of work time.
10. Basic knowledge of video editing software.
